My Fellow Domani,
Welcome to the Fortieth Edition of the Dreams and Faith newsletter. For those of you familiar with it, welcome back. For those of you who aren't, the Dreams and Faith newsletter was the first incarnation of the Domain's news service. The ezine you know of - at http://dreamsandfaith.0catch.com - was born as a result of this.
Only a day late. Sorry for it all. Have a lot of cleaning up to do around the place. But I manage. Lot of things added. Not the least of which is the arrival of a new baby, and the training of our new Crown-Princess. The baby arriving to Lady Xanthi of the Dells in September. so be sure to send your congradulations to her. The new Crown-Princess being YarnFairy of the Realm of Lumina. That's going to take awhile as there's a lot to go over with her. But once all that's done, in probably the next year or so, I'm certain she'll be a good addition to the Nobility and a credit to the Domain as a whole. so be sure to congradulate her as well.

Lady Dame Xanthi Senara the Silent ni VoceDeConscienza, ruler of the Realm of the Dells(MN and WI) lost her cousin, Kevin Moore, to pancreatic cancer June 26. Sadly a few days after this post, her aunt passed away as well. For all of you who gave her your thoughts, your energies and your prayers, thank you. Dream Well.

Cowen Announces U.S. Visit

"TAOISEACH (Prime Minister) Brian Cowen announced over the weekend that he will visit New York from July 15-17. The visit will mark Cowen's first visit to the U.S. as taoiseach.

"Kathy Sinnott, MEP for Ireland South, today welcomed the long awaited recognition from the EU Court that the Irish government's interpretation of the requirement for Environmental Impact Assessments and what constitutes them is faulty.
Case C-215/06 of the 3rd July in the EU Court has found this misinterpretation was implicated in decisions like Derrybrien, Co. Galway. Mrs. Sinnott commented "This Court decision will require a rewriting of Ireland's planning legislation especially in relation to the widespread practice in Ireland of retention and in relation to the requirement to include qualitative information for example for soil stability, which is often overlooked in EIA/EIS today in Ireland. Although the Court did not rule on many of the individual examples of quarrying projects, sawmills, wind-farms, these examples were strong evidence of disregard for the environment by Irish planning as it has been practised. This judgement can now be used by community groups to challenge projects in their locality that they feel will be significantly damaging to their environment and in which they feel there has not been a proper assessment of the potential impact.""
